WHAT IS ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis is a very popular method of hair
removal. It works by the use of inserting tiny pre-sterilised needles in
the hair follicle. A split second impulse of current is then sent down
the needle to the bottom of the hair follicle. This destroys the hair
follicle allowing us to slide (and not pluck) the treated hair out. This
process is repeated for each unwanted hair.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Electrolysis typically consists of a series of
treatments before the hair is permanently destroyed. But after each
treatment the hair should grow back weaker and thinner. It also depends
how thick or thin the unwanted hair is. For instance, someone who has
been waxing or tweezing will need more treatments than someone who has
not tampered with the area.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Some clients do feel a slight discomfort but most
clients say that the results far outweigh this.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Although the area will be cleansed before and after
the treatments, it is important not to touch the area or apply any
perfumed products to the area for at least 24 hours. It is also common
for the area to appear slightly red and possibly a little swollen after
the treatment, but this should only be temporary. There is always a free
consultation for every new client when we will be asking questions
regarding medical health to ensure that you can undertake this
treatment.
